Why this subject?
Well, have you ever seen something as colourful as these tulip fields? It just screamed for a capture! 
And I come from Alkmaar myself, so it’s near home for me.

Any tips and tricks?
20% opacity clone stamp tool is great for retouching.
A capture is one thing, postprocessing is even as important. Skill yourself in Photoshop!
